International Short Program June 2022 – That’s all folks !

Our first International Short Program at IGR-IAE Graduate School of Management has just ended last week.
A dynamic group of international students coming from Indonesia, Turkey, USA, Vietenam, India and more, have enjoyed a comprehensive and intense program from June 13 to 24. But let’s rewind !

A dense program

In a friendly but studious atmosphere, our professors went the extra mile to share the latest developments in management practices. Indeed, in the wake of the surge of the COVID, it challenged everything we knew before 2020 about good practices in the field of Marketing, HR, Revenue Management and Organisation & Innovation Strategy. During 35 hours of lectures, group work, and field trips, they could put theories & practice into perspective and learn from the latest initiatives and innovations to anticipate evolutions of the managers of tomorrow.

Thank you to all Professors involved:
Pr. Karine Picot-Coupey, Head of the Program, for her course on Future of Strategy, Organization and Innovation; Caroline Tahar, from IAE Lyon for her course on the Future of Revenue Management; Caroline Ruiller for her course on the Future of HR & governance , and Patrick Valéau for his course on the Future of Strategy, Organization and Innovation.

Guest speaker during 11th Congress of the Franco-Brazilian Business Administration Institute

Meeting with top ranked speaker in the field of Innovation academic studies during the IFBAE. With the aim of integrating academic activities with business, the “Institut Franco-Brésilien d’Administration des Entreprises” (IFBAE) has invited top guest lecturers to share their latest studies: Daniel Hjorth on entrepreneurship and Ann Cunliffe on reflexivity. These scholars inspire our personal thought about the future of organizations. Participants shared their views with others using semi-structured interviews.

As part of this International Short Program, our students were part of it and attended a talk during the 11th Congress of the Franco-Brazilian Business Administration Institute. They presented their latest work on ethical leadership design-entrepreneurship, among other topics.

Company visit and field trip

Last but not least, we want to thank the generous cooperation of the Groupe Rouiller and the Ecloz’R.

Groupe Rouiller – During the visit in the headquarter, the students met Prune PASSAMA, Director of the Roullier Grant Fund or Mathilde MOROGNIER, Communication Officer.
Then they got the opportunity to exchange with Florie GUILLON, CSR Manager in their Global Innovation Centre.

The Eclozerr, a stat-up incubator and a space dedicated to innovation for SMEs & ETIs, its team gave our students the opportunity to observe the projects developed by Breton entrepreneurs to gain a better understanding of French companies.
What does an accountant look like to you? What are the roles and qualities of an HR person? 2 questions asked to our group of international students during two inspiring testimonial sessions on the topics:
The Future of Revenue Management / The Future of HR and Governance.
Thank you Andrew Moysey, Clarisse Bouffort, Laure Tan and Caroline Meunier for their valuable and enlightening testimonies.

Thanks to them all for their time and generous effort to share their experience to our students.

The relaxing part

As a good summer school is nothing without the fun social activities, our students have enjoyed visit through the city of Rennes, rich of its historical heritage, basic French language with entertaining crash courses and a visit to Le Mont Saint Michel.
But the highlight was undoubtedly the hand in the Crêpe batter ! Or the tasting, who knows.
