Summer School 2026 – Another inspiring international edition comes to an end!

Our Summer School 2026 at IGR-IAE Rennes Graduate School of Management has come to a close after ten days of learning, discovery and intercultural exchange.

From July 1 to 10, an enthusiastic group of international students from partner universities and beyond gathered in Rennes to explore today's major sustainability challenges while experiencing French culture and building lasting international connections.

A programme focused on sustainable management: let's rewind !

This year's edition covered a wide range of topics, including Digital and Sustainable Marketing Strategy, Sustainable Development, Financial and Sustainability Reporting, Sustainable Entrepreneurial Ecosystems, Green Supply Chain Management and Intercultural Management.

Students also had the opportunity to attend part of the 15th International Conference on Emotions and Organizational Life (Emonet XV), held at IGR-IAE Rennes, giving them valuable insight into current international research on management and sustainability.

As in previous editions, the EDUC Alliance supported the Summer School by promoting the programme and funding scholarships for students from partner universities.

Discovering sustainability in practice... and enjoying Brittany!

One of the highlights of the programme was the visit to EDF Odyssélec, home to the Rance Tidal Power Station, the world's first large-scale tidal power plant.

This field visit, organised alongside the Green Supply Chain Management course led by Pr. Thi Le Hoa Vo, allowed students to discover an outstanding example of renewable energy production and to better understand the practical challenges of the energy transition.Beyond the classroom, participants enjoyed a rich programme of social and cultural activities designed to strengthen group cohesion and discover the region.

A major highlight of the programme was the excursion to the Mont-Saint-Michel, where students visited the famous abbey and, for many, experienced the unforgettable guided crossing of the bay.

A special thank you to all the professors and contributors who made this edition possible:

Dr. Laura Sabbado Da Rosa and Dr. Souleymane Laminou-Abdou, Programme Directors;

Dr. Jacques-François Diouf ; Dr. Anne Gry Gudmundsdottir (University of South-Eastern Norway) ; Pr. Alessandro Mura (University of Cagliari) ; Dr. Kadigia Faccin (Fundação Dom Cabral, Brazil) ; Pr. Thi Le Hoa Vo ; Dr. Rebecca Dickason ; as well as Marcos Molina Fernandez for the intercultural and social activities.

We also extend our sincere thanks to every participant for their enthusiasm, curiosity and commitment throughout these ten days.

We look forward to welcoming a new international cohort for the next edition of the Summer School "Challenges for Sustainable Management" at IGR-IAE Rennes!
