International Seminar 2022

International Seminar 2022

Each year, the International Seminar is the major multicultural event for our 130 Master 1 students and 80 MAE students at IGR-IAE Rennes. This year once again, a large part of the week will be entirely online, as our guest professors were unable to come to France as a result of the sanitary situation. They will give their lectures and workshops from their home universities or their places of activity.

Organized by Karine PICOT-COUPEY, this 17th edition will take place in hybrid mode from January 10 to 14, 2022, and will feature sessions designed for each of our Master 1 students’ specialties.
Our students benefit from the expertise of American or Canadian professors, and from the teaching methods imported from the universities where they teach. In previous editions, these professors were invited to spend the week with our students.

All the guest professors hail from North America
Amy Jones, University of West Alabama , United States, will be hosting the following seminars: “Stereotypes in Sports Media and Advertising”, “Visual Elements of Media in Advertising” and “Culture and Offensive Media in Advertising”, for our Master 1 in Marketing students;
Frances Gunn, Ryerson University , Canada, will be presenting “Human Resources and Resilience”, “Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement” and “Leading Change” for our Master 1 HR students,
Michel Magnan, Concordia College, Canada, will lead the seminar in “Governance Evalulation”, for our Master 1 Finance and CGAO students

Susanna Bardsley, writer and trainer, specialized in non-verbal communication, theater, creativity and mental health will meet with all groups to conduct the seminar “Cultural competency and culture shock “.

The MAE DPI and MEJ students, as well as the international students of the Master of Business Administration in International Management (MBAIM), taught in English, will benefit from the teachings of Dr. Martina Gallarza, associate professor in marketing, Department of Marketing and Marketing Research, Universidad de Valencia, Spain, on the theme “Intercultural Negotiation and Communication”, and Dr. Regina Huang, Professor at East China University of Science and Technology, Deputy Director of the School of Business at ECUST, China on “Business in Society – China”.

We would like to thank all our speakers, profoundly attached to the IGR-IAE, who accept once again to be present under unusual circumstances for our students and thus contribute to opening windows on the world to them. We are honored by their continued loyalty.
