Welcome Day 2026

IGR-IAE Rennes welcomes our new international Students

Last week, IGR-IAE Rennes held its traditional “Welcome Day” a key event dedicated to welcoming new international students enrolled in master’s and university exchange programs.

To mark the start of the academic year, the school’s staff welcomed students from the moment they arrived via the “Welcome Desk” followed by a series of presentations covering their new academic and student life in Rennes.

Presentations regarding the academic year were led by Hélène Rainelli Weiss, Dean of IGR-IAE Rennes, Laura Sabbado da Rosa, Vice-Dean for International Affairs, and Romain Guillard, Head of the International Office. Caroline Morel, Cécilia Thomas and Aymeric Lachiver of the International team also took part in these welcome and information sessions.

Support from day one

The “Buddy Program“, designed to facilitate the integration of international students, played a significant role in this welcome process. Coordinators Maki Matsumoto and Ali Usman were present at every stage to assist new arrivals, answer initial questions, and introduce them to various aspects of student life at the school.

Students also participated in the “International Students’ Day” (ISD), organized by Rennes’ Center for International Mobility (CMI). This event gave them the opportunity to meet experts and professionals and ask practical and administrative questions regarding their relocation and stay in Rennes.

A new international cohort in Rennes

Through this Welcome Day, IGR-IAE Rennes aims to provide its new international students with the best possible start to the academic year, helping them gradually integrate into life at the school and in the city.

The IGR-IAE Rennes team is delighted to welcome this new cohort—described as dynamic and enthusiastic—and wishes them an excellent academic year in Rennes.
