International students at IGR-IAE Rennes continue to enjoy enriching experiences, accompanied by their French as a Foreign Language (FLE) professor, Marcos Molina Fernandez.
Recently, they had the opportunity to visit EDF, the city of Vitré, and BRIDOR.
Visit of the EDF company
The international students discovered the internal organization of a major French energy company, accompanied by guides who spoke both French and English. This visit provided an understanding of energy production, distribution, and the challenges of the energy transition in France, while also introducing them to corporate culture and French professional communication norms. The students were able to practice technical French and improve their fluency in formal exchanges, connecting language with local economic realities.
Visit of the city of Vitré
This outing offered an immersion in Breton heritage with its ramparts and half-timbered houses, guided by experts who spoke both French and English. The students explored medieval history and architecture while discovering local culture, traditions, and regional identity. The visit also provided an opportunity to practice French in a cultural and everyday context, enriching their vocabulary and understanding of French culture.
Visit of the BRIDOR company
The students were able to observe French industrial expertise in the food industry, from large-scale production to quality and hygiene standards, accompanied by bilingual French-English guides. They deepened their knowledge of French and Breton culinary culture through iconic products such as bread and pastries, while practicing French in a professional and technical context, connecting language, culture, and local know-how.
