The students of our Master of Marketing – Franchising, Retail and Service Chains meet the Subway company

On December 4, 2018, Mr. Patrick Réty – Subway Development Coordinator for the Brittany – Pays de la Loire – Lower Normandy region – and his team presented the Subway network and its evolution since its creation, more than fifty years ago in the United States. He also discussed the professions related to network coordination and development to the sixty students of the Master of Marketing – Franchising Retail & Service Chains (Master 1 in apprenticeship, Master 2 in apprenticeship, International Master 2 taught in English). This amphitheater session at the IGR-IAE Rennes – University of Rennes 1, organized as part of the Center of Franchising, Retail and Service Chains, was very interactive with a series of questions, answers, examples, concrete cases, etc.

These exchanges continued during the afternoon at the Subway restaurant in Vern sur Seiche where the 60 students were welcomed. After a guided tour of the restaurant, the students worked in teams on various operational questions related to marketing, human resources management and performance.

Rozenn Perrigot, director of the Master of Marketing – Franchising, Retail and Service Chains and director of the Center of Franchising, Retail and Service Chains at IGR-IAE Rennes – University of Rennes 1, warmly thanks Mr. Patrick Réty, his team and the Vern sur Seiche franchisees for the quality time shared with the students and their valued contribution to the training and professionalization of our students.
