Educate yourself to act better<\/h2>

Stand up workshops – November 7 to 13, 2023<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The Stand Up program was designed to educate women and men to intervene when they witness or experience street harassment. It is based on the 5D method: Distract, Delegate, Document, Direct, Dialogue. Staff and students from Rennes schools and universities are invited to participate in one of the eight sessions hosted by the R\u00e9soNantes’s association<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

Webconference : employment, women et disabilities – November <\/span><\/span>23, 2023<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Disability constitutes the first reason for referral to the Defender of Rights in matters of discrimination. Difficulties accessing employment, professional and personal prejudices, violence… being a woman with a disability can be a source of multiple and cumulative discrimination.
As part of the European Week for the Employment of Disabled People and the Orange Day campaign, the University of Rennes in cooperation with the Defender of Rights in Brittany team invites you to discuss the obstacles to be removed, the ideas to combat and ways to support professionalization and equality and promote bridges.<\/p>

At the initiative of the institutes of chemical sciences and physics of Rennes, a meeting around the documentary ‘Breaking the silence of the lecture halls’ which gives voice to students, PhD students or members of staff testifying to the sexist and sexual violence they suffered within an establishment.<\/p>

Get informed: sexism is not a game but a crime<\/h2>

‘In class, sexism is not on the agenda’, this is the title of the 2nd episode of a series of the podcast series’ Campus \u00e0 voix \u00e9gales<\/a>.<\/p>

Objective: prevent and fight against sexist and sexual violence and discrimination by deciphering problematic situations.<\/p>

The ‘Days of Action against Violence Against Women’ is an international campaign that takes place every year, from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day). Since 2014, the official color of this campaign has been orange, which symbolizes a better future and a fairer world, free of violence against women and girls.<\/span><\/p>

After 3 successive successful mobilizations, Rennes universities and schools are renewing a collective operation to support this movement. To contribute, staff and students are invited to:<\/span><\/p>

  1. take a photo of yourself, alone or in a group, interrupting an action, with your arms crossed and\/or with an orange accessory<\/li>
  2. send the photo at egalite@univ-rennes.fr <\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span>until Friday November 24, possibly accompanied by a brief caption and authorizing the free publication of the photo.<\/span><\/li>

    Victim or witness: how to report a situation?<\/h2>

    If you become aware of situations that could involve harassment or gender-based or sexual violence, do not hesitate to report it to the doctor concerned. Tips and answers in le vade-mecum published by the ANEF, the CLASCHES and the CPED<\/a><\/span><\/p>
